Olivia Thirby and Nelsan Ellis join 'Stanford Prison Experiment'

Indie Film "The Stanford Prison Experiment" has announced a line up of young actors that are set to star in the film. They announced that Olivia Thirby, Tye Sheridan, Ki Hong Lee. Nelsan Ellis, Australian actor Jame Frecheville and Johnny Simmons will be joining the movies lead actors Ezra Miller, Billy Crudup and Michael Angarano.

It was announced earlier that Crudup will be playing Dr. Philip Zimbardo.

The movie will be based on the true to life experiment of the same name wherein a professor from Stanford recruited 24 students that will be subject to a psychological experiment that was said to  'explain situational behavior'. 12 students were assigned as guards and were given the free hand to use their powers even to the point of abusing the 12 other students who were assigned to be prisoners. 

"The Stanford Prison Experiment" release that has not yet been announced and is said to be going through pre-production so, it may take a year or two before this film hits the big screen.

Thirlby recently starred in the movie 'Dredd' which was met with a lukewarm response. Ellie on the other hand is best know for his 'True Blood' character Lafeyette, Sheridan was part of the movie 'Tree of life' while Frenchville debuted in 'Animal Kingdom' and Simmons was part of the cast of 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' while the only Asian actor in the ensemble, Ki Hong Lee can be seen in the recently released 'The Maze Runner' with filming for the second movie 'The Scorth Trials' set to start in the next couple weeks.
