It was last September 26 that Gone Girl was premiered for the 52nd New York Film Festival. The story was adapted from the novel of Gillian Flynn of the same title.

The story is about this perfect couple who everyone seems to envy. They both look so happy outwardly until one day, when they are about to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary; Nick came home with his wife missing.

He called the police and the whole thing became a sensation with the press now involved. Everyone now wants to know where she is and why she was just suddenly gone. If you have not seen this movie yet, you are now warned that you are about to read some major spoiler alert.

Their marriage started to fall apart since the recession in America kicked and both of them struggled financially. Nick has become unmotivated and eventually unfaithful, which pissed Amy off. She then faked her death, making it appear to the public that her husband killed her.

The performance of both Affleck and Pike is amazing that acting and film critics couldn't help but really commend them on their work. And since they are guided by Fincher, you can indeed expect a masterpiece.

It is not too late to catch this new movie everyone is talking about. Gone Girl is still showing in theaters near you.
