American video game Company Disney Interactive Studios, Inc. plans to release a new video game titled Fantasia: Music Evolved on Oct. 21.

Fantasia: Music Evolved was unveiled during the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo as an interactive successor to Walt Disney's well-known 1940 animated film titled Fantasia.

Video Game Maker Company Harmonix Music Systems developed the game for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 game consoles.

It's a motion-controlled music rhythm game that involves the player as a new apprentice tasked by the sorcerer Yen Sid to animate the worlds he had created.

The game apparently combines Walt Disney's musical opus with Harmonix's rhythm game style.

A demo of the game was recently launched for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, and doesn't require players to have Xbox Live Gold Membership.

Microsoft said Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved is a breakthrough musical motion video game inspired by Disney's classic animated film "Fantasia."

"Featuring more than 30 songs and 60 remixes, Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved empowers you to create and share your own versions of current hits, classic rock, classical music, and more. Your Kinect puts you in control of some of the world's best known songs, changing them in intuitive and surprising new ways as you play," Microsoft added.

Disney Interactive Studios initially offered the idea to develop a new game with Harmonix back in 2010. During that time, Harmonix was looking for a new way to intersect motion control with music.

During a meeting between the two companies, an agreement was made since Disney's idea coincided with Harmonix's current projects.
