Telecommunications company Sprint announced Tuesday that it is offering a "Loyalty Service Credit" of $15 to its customers interested in leasing Apple's new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.
Then applied to the iPhone 6's lease cost of $20, the monthly fee gets reduced to just $5 a month, while the iPhone 6 Plus will be available for $10 per month.

The loyalty promotion is the most recent move by Sprint to lure in more consumers. The carrier had previously announced family and individual plans that undercut its rivals by offering more data in the contracts.
Earlier in September, it introduced an unlimited plan specifically for the iPhone for $50. The plan comes with a monthly fee of $20 for leasing a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, in which the subscriber would return the handset to the mobile service provider after two years.
The flaw in Sprint's earlier plan was that it was geared towards attracting new customers, leaving the existing subscribers without any benefits. The latest program by the carrier addresses the issue by rewarding consumers who have stuck with the telecom firm.
No matter the configuration, consumers can retain their existing smartphone contracts and take advantage of the credit as long as they sign up to lease a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. Credit will be continually given to the subscribers as long as their lease is active and they remain on a qualifying plan.
After the two-year agreement, consumers can continue leasing the device on a month-to-month basis, purchase the handset, turn in the iPhone 6 for another model of iPhone or return the mobile device and terminate the service.
The "Loyalty Service Credit," which started Monday, will end on Jan. 15.
