Pop star Christina Aguilera is coming back to the eight season of NBC's hit singing competition "The Voice" after sitting out the last two seasons for a maternity leave.
The "Beautiful" singer got engaged to film producer Matt Rutler early this year and gave birth to their daughter, Summer Rain, last August.

Carson Daly, the program's host, announced the news of Aguilera's comeback on "Today" show Tuesday morning.
The Grammy award-winning singer will reportedly replace Gwen Stefani, who filled in for her as one of the show's coaches this season.
Aguilera has appeared on seasons one to three and season five, with Shakira substituting for her on seasons four and six as she temporarily left the program due to her touring and baby-making schedules.
When she returns to "The Voice" in early 2015, Aguilera will rejoin longtime coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, along with Pharrell Williams.
Williams, who made his debut this season, will remain on the panel of coaches for season eight.
The "Happy" singer took a seat that had been vacant since the departure of original coach Cee Lo Green early this year.
While it's the return for both Aguilera and Williams, this will be the first season that the two stars will compete against each other.
In a statement, Paul Telegdy, president of the alternative and late night programming of NBC Entertainment, said "we are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can't wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition."
"These four talented artists are at the top of their game as musicians and as coaches. The mentoring is sure to be intense and the stakes will be high," he added.
"The Voice" is currently in its seventh season with new episodes airing Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
