56-year-old Ellen then proceeded to ask her 41-year-old wife to answer what the tabloids are saying on their headlines about them. She said: "I thought maybe you should answer that question."

Portia then said that it would be fun for everybody if they were really to start a family as Ellen held up a magazine cover where the headline says: 'They're finally starting a family!'

Ellen then joked noting that they have indeed waited too long as Portia replied that they are not going to have a baby. Ellen jokingly asked "We're not gonna have a baby?" and so that confirms that they are not planning to start a family just yet.

Portia then shared that people surrounding them actually believed what were written on the magazines and tabloids as he brother even called her asking if he was going to be an uncle.

Ellen also shared that her assistant even asked her if she was keeping something from him also in reference to the baby rumors. She added that everyone assumed they were having a baby but they were not ready to share it yet.

Ellen has been addressing the issue ever since 2011 when she mentioned in her book called "Seriously... I'm Kidding" how everyone longed to see her become a mother. She noted that they do not want to have kids and repeated the same statement on 2012 while being interviewed on "The Tonight Show".

Portia also addressed this back in 2013 saying that she and Ellen really did not want to have kids and although they have been pressured, they did not want to give in to it.

The couple has been married since 2008.
