Two Boston Park Rangers Suffer Brutal Stabbing Attack at Hands of Crazed Homeless Man

Two Boston park rangers suffered from multiple stabs wounds on Tuesday evening in what witnesses claim was an unprovoked attack, although officials were able to arrest the alleged suspect and the rangers are now in the hospital expected to survive.

Officials confirmed that they received a radio call at around 4:36 P.M. saying that two park rangers had been badly wounded near the Soldiers and Sailors Monument located at the Boston Commons.

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans stated that witnesses saw the brutal attack carried out by a homeless crazed man who had a knife on him. The witnesses noted that there was blood everywhere and the park rangers were screaming, Evans added.

The suspect was later identified as 34-year-old Bodio Hutchinson and was held responsible for the attacks. Witnesses noted that Hutchinson threw the weapon that was believed to be used in the brutal attacks into the lagoon of the said garden but the knife was later recovered by officials.

One of the park rangers, who was not identified by authorities, was said to have suffered extensive stab wounds to his torso and was taken to the Massachusetts General Hospital. Officials said that he was in a critical but stable condition due to the life-threatening injuries he acquired from the attack.

The other ranger, identified as 24-year-old James Lunnin, had wounds in his back and arms and was taken to Tufts Medical Center. He suffered from five stab wounds but is recovering well, his father informed the media.

Witnesses reportedly rushed to help the park rangers once the alleged suspect was already out of the area.

Meanwhile, other witnesses ran after the alleged suspect and a video was even submitted showing his arrest.

The park was closed for a couple of hours following the incident as police continued to probe for more evidence.
