During their stay, a free trade agreement between Iceland and China, on which the two countries have worked for six years, will be signed by the foreign ministers of both countries.
A trade convention will be held in Beijing on the occasion where Icelandic and Chinese companies and institutions will discuss the opportunities that open up with the free trade agreement.
This upcoming visit indeed stired up lots of discussion. Will China's state media show them? It's not affirmed yet. Additionally, some comments of shocked people come up on social media. One comment says, facing Lesbian leader is obviously a new experience for President Xi. Another says, her wife? for my instinct, I though I read wrongly. What if a male president visit China with his boyfriend next time?
