A new fantasy movie is about to be released by Universal Pictures on February 6, 2015 and it is called Seventh Son. The film stars Jeff Bridges (Tron: The Legacy), Ben Barnes (Prince Capian) and Julianne Moore (Maps to the Stars). This is actually based on a novel called The Spook's Apprentice.

The story is about a boy named Thomas Ward (played by Ben Barnes) who is the seventh son of the seventh son. As he grows up, he was told he is destined to be the Spook's apprentice.

The Spook (played by Jeff Bridges) is someone who holds a lot of power to control and form things on earth. In the movie, he is looking for someone who he could pass on his power to.

Lots of people have tried but all of them failed and now it is Thomas' turn to prove that he is worthy of the position. Being the seventh son of the seventh son, he has gifts others don't have like seeing things and creatures living in another dimension.

Nevertheless, the movie is going to be filled with action, adventure and definitely a lot of special effects that children from all ages will love.

Critics are already saying that this could actually be the next Harry Potter. There are a total of 12 books as a sequel of this novel and if this movie becomes a hit, looks like fans would be seeing all of those stories then.

But right now, the studio has not released any of those ideas yet because they are just focused on the result of the first part of the story.

Catch the Seventh Son on February 6, 2015 as it premieres in the US under Universal Pictures in cooperation with Legendary Pictures. This is definitely a movie for the entire family.
