Not a week later after former South Korean band EXO Chinese member Lu Han left the band, rumors that he would be starring in a drama alongside Hong Kong actress Yang Mi surfaced online.
According to Hong Kong media reports, Lu is allegedly in talks to be featured in an upcoming drama entitled 'Zhu Xian' which also features renowned actress Yang Mi.

Although none of the claims have been proven yet, the new rumor seems to have given a spark to the speculations that the 24-year old lead vocalist of EXO-M, the Chinese subunit of EXO, has left SM Entertainment in order to find greener pastures in China for his career.
Controversies have began especially after netizens seemed to be comparing Lu's chosen path to that of Wu Yi Fan, another Chinese member of EXO who left earlier this year in May in the middle of promotions.
According to media reports, after Wu has left EXO and filed a similar lawsuit, he was immediately given a job to be featured in director Xu Jing Lei's romantic film 'Somewhere Only We Know' which was shot in Prague and also features Mainland Chinese actress Wang Li Kun as his character's opposite.
The new rumors circulating about Lu being featured in a new drama in Hong Kong is said to support another rumor which claims that he left SM Entertainment because the talent outfit is incapable of providing him a better future.
Furthermore, another rumor which is said to have been one of the causes behind Lu's departure is that he was offered solo activities to star in several dramas and movies in China but SM Entertainment allegedly declined.
Despite these claims, there are no clear explanations yet as to why Lu left EXO besides a statement that allegedly came from a close friend who claims that the main reason for his departure was because of his family.
On the other hand, Lu's father has also spoken about his son's decision to file a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, saying that he supports his son's decision.
"I put my son's opinions first. I supported him when he said he would become a celebrity, and I will keep supporting him," says Lu's father on an interview with a Chinese media outlet.
There has not been other news about Lu since filing the lawsuit except that he has chosen to stay in Beijing to rest.
