Steve Wong, the former bassist for the 1980s Chinese rock band Beyond, seems to getting into another conflict with fellow member Paul Wong again after posting a message on Weibo that contains the alleged truth behind the band's breakup.

Steve has taken to his personal Weibo account to allegedly reveal the truth about the reason for the disbandment of Beyond. According to media reports, Steve's post implies that Paul was the one who decided on the disbandment after their contract with Rock Records ended in 1999.

Paul allegedly suggested to disband Beyond because their drummer, Yip Sai Wing, was living off of him. According to the post that Steve has written, Paul stated that he had contributed a lot and found it unfair that the earnings of the band had to be divided among them equally.

According to Steve, Paul has then decided to go solo.

To end his post, Steve says that he promises that he is telling the truth before permanently deleting his account.

On the other hand, Steve says that he does not agree with Paul's opinion that implied he and their former drummer did not contribute anything to the band, but also added that he can't do anything else but to accept.

The musician claims that he has kept the real reason from the rest of their band members, initially telling them that the reason behind the disbandment was their 'musical differences'.

Steve has then apologized to their other band mates and Yip for keeping the truth for 15 long years.

Furthermore, Steve claimed that during their farewell concert in 2005, he had suggested that they should all co-write the lyrics to the songs that they will be performing, but Paul allegedly denied them of that and went on to write on his own.

Steve also allegedly accused Paul of telling the media that the song he has written was supposed to have been a tribute for their deceased member Wong Ka Kui, but Steve refused to have it released.

Previously, both members of the band were involved in a tangle after Paul accused Steve of using Ka Kui for publicity to which the latter has retaliated.
