The Asus smartphone/tablet hybrid will be available in the U.S. next week.
Padfone X Mini will be available on AT&T's prepaid GoPhone service for US$199.99 without a contract starting October 24.
The smartphone/tablet hybrid sports a 4.5-inch screen and can be slid into a companion dock that will act as the tablet. The dock features a 7-inch screen.

The dock uses a vertical or portrait orientation which is a better fit for smaller tablets. The tablet won't work without the phone, however.
It uses an Intel processor chip (Atom Z2560) to power the device, making it the first LTE smartphone in the United States.
It's a significant move for Intel because it's a first time the chipmaker's processor is being used inside a smartphone with 4G LTE in the U.S., according to some reports.
This dual-function gadget runs under Android 4.4 KitKat.
The Taipei-based company said the Padfone X Mini can last on its own for about 15.8 hours and 28.3 hours when docked into the tablet.
It's clocked at Dual-core 1.6 GHz to support 1 GB of RAM. Its flash storage is 8 GB and supports a microSD slot that can expand up to 64 GB.
The primary camera is 5 megapixel with 2592 х 1944 screen resolution and LED flash, while the secondary camera is 2 megapixel.
There have been attempts to unite laptops and tablets and Asus was able to fuse a smartphone and tablet into one device.
Earlier this year, Asus and Intel signed an agreement to team up to develop mobile products.
