Since Leonardo DiCaprio bowed out from a role in the planned Steve Jobs biopic directed by Danny Boyle, Christian Bale has been one of the actors shortlisted for the said part.

Although the role that Bale might play is still about a billionaire, it's entirely different from his Batman stint as it will be about the inventor of Apple, the brand that has made technological advances for quite a time now.

The star has not confirmed the news yet but according to a source, there has already been talks about the movie, which is scripted by Aaron Sorkin based in the biography penned by Walter Isaacson.

DiCaprio announced this month that he had backed out as he will be taking a long hiatus from acting after his latest movie entitled "The Revenant".

Also in the running for the role with that of Bale are Matt Damon and Ben Affleck however, sources are saying that Bale is the closest when it comes to the physique of Jobs.

It has also been rumored that Bale has been the first choice of the director ever since they planned to make the project into a film.

Critics are actually expecting that the biopic would be downsizing that of the 2013 movie entitled "Jobs", which also talked about the life of the Apple inventor and starred actor Ashton Kutcher. The biopic is said to have more depth than the movie launched last year.

Anyway, aside from Bale in talks with the said movie, he also recently played the role of Moses in the fall movie called "Exodus: Gods and Kings". Bale played the role of a leader who was able to directly speak to God.
