While highlights from the movie play, Lorde's song from the movie's soundtrack "Yellow Flicker Beat" plays in the background.

The late Philip Seymour Hoffman's voice is then heard, talking about the movie's what's in store for the heroine as she returns home. "Make it personal for her, let her see what the Capitol did to District 12," the viewer hears Hoffman say.

Aside from her return home, the trailer also features Everdeen visiting the Victors' Village, which has become her home after winning the games. She finds a white rose in the grey rubble, a sign that President Snow had been there during the turmoil and before she arrived.

The official synopsis for the new installment of the franchise lets fans know that Everdeen will be in District 13 "after she literally shatters the games forever".

Under the leadership of President Coin, Everdeen and her trusted allies aim to save their nation and people.
