While highlights from the movie play, Lorde's song from the movie's soundtrack "Yellow Flicker Beat" plays in the background.
The late Philip Seymour Hoffman's voice is then heard, talking about the movie's what's in store for the heroine as she returns home. "Make it personal for her, let her see what the Capitol did to District 12," the viewer hears Hoffman say.
Aside from her return home, the trailer also features Everdeen visiting the Victors' Village, which has become her home after winning the games. She finds a white rose in the grey rubble, a sign that President Snow had been there during the turmoil and before she arrived.
The official synopsis for the new installment of the franchise lets fans know that Everdeen will be in District 13 "after she literally shatters the games forever".
Under the leadership of President Coin, Everdeen and her trusted allies aim to save their nation and people.
Actors who starred in the previous movies, including Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks and Sam Claflin, will all be part of the new flick.
Francis Lawrence, director of the second installment released in 2013, will also take the director's chair for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1".
The said movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 21 in the United States. Part 2 of the flick is set for release in November 2015.
"The Hunger Games" movies are based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling novel series, which has sold over 65 million copies in the United States.
