Ebola TV Series Rumored To Be On The Works

This just in! A new T.V. series is rumored to be on the works and it's about the deadly Ebola virus. According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, producer Lynda Obst and director Richard Preston will be teaming up and will bank on the health outbreak.

The two are said to be teaming up for a Fox TV Studios' limited series based on the 1994 best-selling book of Preston entitled "The Hot Zone".

However, the representatives of both Obst and Preston say that the two already planned about this two decades ago. The current outbreak is just really as timely as it could get as the project has been timed to be produced soon.

Obst released a statement talking about the disease and said, "I think it's the speed with which it kills that makes the disease so frightening." She added that people hoped it would stay in the remote parts of the world such as West Africa, where the outbreak has killed over 4,600 people now, but noted that it was unrealistic to think that it will not affect other countries.

She pressed that since we are already living in a modern world, this makes us all connected as one big family.

As for Preston, he is currently penning a piece about the outbreak, which will be published in next week's New Yorker magazine.

The series is said to star Jodie Foster and that it will include a history about the disease that dates us back to 1989 when an incident happened to primates quarantined at a facility in Virginia resulted to them being infected with a "mutated" version of the Ebola virus.

The deadly virus already caused the death of one man from Dallas recently and two nurses who took care of him have been tested positive of the virus.
