Snapchat will officially start rolling out its ads this weekend.
Earlier in October, the popular messaging app confirmed they'll be adding ads called Snapchat Discovery, and now it's here now.
The company announced Friday users from the U.S. will see the first ad in the "Recent Updates" section.

"It's the first time we've done anything like this because it's the first time we've been paid to put content in that space," said Snapchat in a blog post. "It's going to feel a little weird at first, but we're taking the plunge."
The ads won't be forced on users who have the right to open the ads or not. According to the Snapchat blog post, the ads will disappear within 24 hours after the users viewed it. A spokeswoman didn't mention the name of the first advertiser.
The company's blog post said the ads will not be "creepy" and targeted towards the interest of its users. Snapchat guarantees it will keep users' personal communications (Snaps and Chats) free from any ads.
Determining which ads Snapchat will show users isn't exactly clear, but they promised to promote "stuff that actually interests you." The ads will match the profiles or interests of the users.
Snapchat has a decent amount of data on users it might use for targeting ads. With the consent of users, Snapchat may gather location data and information via cookies and other tracking technologies.
