Taiwanese super star Jay Chou's Opus 2 World Concert Tour in Singapore has been postponed and will be held in December due to the condition of the Singapore Sports Hub.
The renowned Mandopop singer has originally scheduled his first outdoor gig in Singapore on November 8, Saturday. However, the organizers for his concert decided to move the event a month later on December 27, Saturday.

Since the newly renovated stadium was used for the friendly football match between Brazil and Japan last Tuesday, the grounds apparently turned sandy which the organizers didn't see fit for the Chou's concert.
In a statement released by Lim Teck Yin, the chief executive of Sports Singapore, the grounds at the National Stadium, which is being managed by Sports Hub Pte Ltd (SHPL), is too sandy and is deemed 'far from being satisfactory' for Chou's concert.
Because of these reasons, Chou's concert has been moved to a later date in order to accommodate adjustments.
Other than Chou's concert being moved, Singapore Sports is also said to be worrying about the upcoming ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup which is due to be held on November 23, this year.
According to media reports, the sub-standard quality of the National Stadium grounds could get in the way of Singapore's bid to host the said sports event.
Despite Sports Hub's assurances that, covers would be provided to conceal the field in order to protect the pitch during events such as, the Chou's concert, many have misgivings about their course of action.
The representatives of the ASEAN Football Federation and the Sports Hub officials met on October 17 to decide whether the games would push through at the National Museum but unexpectedly, the decision has been left hanging until the coming week.
