Hong Kong veteran actors Anthony Wong and Wayne Lai have not been getting along on the set of the TVB drama 'Lord of Shanghai' where they were both featured in.
Despite both being legends, reports suggest that there was friction between Wong and Lai which made both actors steer clear from each other's ways which is said to have stemmed from the former's severe demands on the set of 'Lord of Shanghai'.

According to sources, Wong had been making demands on set which was seen unfit and unfair by Lai.
To begin with, it took a lot of effort to convince Wong to film a drama under TVB. The company is also said to have submitted willingly to all of the actor's demands even if it causes inconvenience to the rest of the cast and the crew.
In one instance, according to an insider, Wong decided he wanted to film all of his scenes first, thus causing the staff to rearrange the schedules for the rest of the cast.
Wong is said to have arrived on set at 5 a.m., but did not finish all of his work until 6 p.m. On the other hand, Lai has finished all of his scenes by 9 a.m. From October 1 to 6, Wong had been filming for the rest of the day while Lai only took three days to film his scenes.
Lai allegedly felt that there was inequality in the way the rest of the cast was being treated by the TVB executives. The actor is said to have complained about the matter but was ignored.
The two actors were said to be acting in a civil manner while filming scenes together, but they purportedly rarely interact with each other. According to insiders, Wong and Lai were assigned to rehearse their lines together, but did it with their assistants instead.
Furthermore, the two stars were said to be treating each other like air and would keep their distance from each other whenever it is possible.
Neither of the two parties have stepped forward to clear the issue.
