A part of the Chinese Dream that has yet to be realized is contained in one cup: the Football World Cup.
Like other countries that are proud of their sports achievements, China dreams of hosting a World Cup event one day, or even to make it to the World Cup finals, again.
China still holds onto the dream of lifting up the World Cup trophy in that one priceless moment of victory.

The Chinese soccer dream burned brightest this week when the World Cup Trophy made a two-day stop in China in the final leg of its 90-country tour before the Fifa World Cup event commences in Brazil, its host for this year.
It was the second time the trophy came to China, a country that has the largest number of football fans in the world, even if its biggest achievement in the sport so far was an appearance at the Japan-South-Korea World Cup finals in 2002.
Fan Zhiyi, former team captain of China's national football team, and the first-ever Chinese to win the Asian Footballer of the Year award, led the unveiling of the World Cup Trophy in Beijing.
"It was an honor. When you get close to the trophy, you feel physically attracted to it," said Fan.
Indeed. Chinese soccer fans gathered around the trophy to take photos, and to take in as much inspiration as can be had from being close to a physical symbol of success that has been held and raised by the greatest football players of the world.
The global tour of the FIFA World Cup Trophy was made possible by the Coca-Cola Company, which has been the soccer event's major sponsor since 1978.
As if by a stroke of luck, China was the World Cup Trophy's 88th stop - 88 being a lucky number for Chinese people - and many hoped that the auspicious visit would augur well for the national team as it aspires to bring fruition to China's soccer dreams.
Furthermore, President Xi Jinping had vocalized China's soccer dreams when he watched a friendly match between German and Chinese boys during his recent European trip.
The World Cup Trophy is now in Japan, after which it will head to the United States, its 90th and last stop, before heading to Sao Paulo, Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
