"Shady" is how most people describe Sam Lutfi, but in a bizarre letter that he himself posted on website xojane.com, he claims that such a description is wrong because he 'is just trying to help Amanda Bynes."
His open letter states "I worked in Hollywood for a long time and over those years I have seen what happens when too much fame and too much money get the best of celebrities." he also said that, he is a problem solver and that, he cares about helping people get out of the most difficult times of their life,. He claims that this is the reason why we see him with celebrities during their most trying times.

Lutfi became infamous when he appeared by Britney Spears' side during her 2012 meltdown, the singer and her family later filed a restraining order again Lutfi. He also tried to befriend Lindsay Lohan and Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris. He is currently working with Courtney Love, who he claimed to have encouraged him to write the open letter.
In the letter, he openly writes about Amanda Bynes, who is currently in treatment for her mental health issues. Lutfi writes, "All I can tell you, is that she is getting the help that she needs and that, I am working closely with her and her family, in order to make sure that we can move on from the tabloid sensationalism of her 'breakdown' and instead, concentrate on what a talented young woman she has always been, and will continue to be."
But, sources say that Bynes is not happy about Lutfi's involvement in her, and her family's life. A source says that, Amanda is disgusted with Sam and has been openly telling anyone who would listen that, she hates him for inserting himself into her family and tricking her, into coming back to Los Angeles and that, Amanda is lucid enough to know that Sam is someone she does not want to get involved with.
