Yahoo released an official Flickr version app for the iPad over the weekend.
Previously, Flickr's iOS app was only available on iPhones but now the company is bringing full optimization and new features for the latest Apple tablets.
The new iPad app is called Flickr 3.2 and supports the "Retina" display on both the old iPad Air and iPad mini, new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini.

iPhone users will also experience an updated Flickr 3.2 app as long as they have the new operating system.
Yahoo-owned photo sharing service Flickr displays images on iPad users' feeds in high resolution with "up to 3,000,000 pixels per photo." Browsing of images is possible in both landscape and portrait mode, including a lot of room for photo descriptions and metadata.
Users can also search and comment on Flickr feeds.
It also includes a full camera interface and editing suitable for shooting and editing photos. It offers live filters and a live histogram (a photo exposure graph often found on digital SLRs) as well, so users can see how photos will turn out before clicking the virtual shutter button.
Flickr 3.2 has its own iOS 8 share extension that will let users share their photos on social media networks like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
Yahoo acquired the photo sharing service Flickr in May 2013 and made available 1TB of free photo storage space for all users.
