The new Warner Bros. film 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' is said to be featuring an additional character in the person of a female version of Robin, Batman's sidekick, and Jena Malone is rumored to be playing the role.

According to a media outlet, WILX News station reporter, Kirk Montgomery, has spoken to one of the extras in the film, who revealed that the production team has decided to cast a female version of Robin.

The cast is said to have filmed at a private set at the Michigan State University. Said extra is said to have also revealed that the scene involves Bruce Wayne, who is played by Ben Affleck, and Lex Luthor, portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg.

Whether the rumor is true or not that Malone will be starring as Robin in the film, Warner Bros., has declined to comment.

According to media outlets, 'The Hunger Games' star has been seen on set and movie premieres sporting a different hairdo which fueled the rumor.

On the other hand, the media had been having a difficult time trying to get details about the upcoming film as everything had been kept under wraps until now. Numerous rumors about the cast of the film has also been on high demand since Zck Snyder, the director of 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' was announced in last year's Comic Con.

Furthermore, the extra who disclosed the information to Montgomery is said to be facing a fine of US$5 million after signing a non-disclosure agreement with the producing company.

'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' which also features Henry Cavill will open in cinemas on March 25, 2016.
