DeMarco Murray, running back for the National Football League's (NFL) Dallas Cowboys, is the first running back to start a season with seven straight 100-yard games. He led his team to a win against the New York Giants, 31-21.
Murray breaks Hall of Famer Jim Brown's record that is 56 years old. Slowly, Murray is becoming the prime offensive component for the Cowboys, a position that quarterback Tony Romo is all too happy to relinquish.

"He really exemplifies everything you want in a player. He's hard-working. He's humble. He's a team-first guy. He's talented. He's explosive," Romo said about Murray.
Murray on the other hand, the current rushing leader of the NFL, said that it was hard for him to accept the feat individually. He still attributes the win against the Giants as a group effort.
The first half was a battle between quarterbacks. Romo found Gavin Escobar for a 15-yard touchdown pass in the first and Terrence Williams for an 18-yard one.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw a couple as well to Odell Beckham Jr. and Daniel Fells.
By the end of the first half, the score was equalized at 14-14.
Afterwards, the Giants and Manning only had one more touchdown with another pass to Beckham Jr. Their defense was unable to stop the Cowboys, with Romo throwing a 26-yard touchdown pass to Gavin Escobar and Murray running the ball to the end zone.
Despite an interception thrown by Romo, he still made 17 of 23 for 279 yards. In the second half alone, he went 9 of 9, targeting Dez Bryant for seven of them.
The Cowboys rushed on 23 of their 27 first down plays. This is the highest first down rush percentage in a game this season.
Murray rushed in 18 times for 92 yards and a touchdown all on first down. He also gains the distinction of having the 4th-most rushing attempts in NFL history.
With this win, the Cowboys improve their record to 6-1, while the Giants are now 3-4.
