The 39-year old actor, who was once married to pop star Katy Perry, filmed himself outside the New York corporate offices of Fox and talked about the "Islamophobic narrative" in the media. He posted the video on YouTube early this week, which was interspersed with video clips from Fox News.

Posing as a "True News" or "Trews" reporter, Brand was blocked by men in suits who threatened him with imprisonment if he continued to film outside the building.

"I don't mean to be rude to you. Just making some True News," Brand replied, proceeding to go through revolving doors with his laptop.

He then went to ask if he could get a tour of the premises, even telling the receptionist that he had been booked on "Hannity" but has been cancelled on at the last minute. He asks if he could take a look at the studio and, meet some of the people involved with the show.

Brand's request was rejected and, he is then seen outside the doors of the building, saying, "Whatever the subject is-Islamophobia or it's just the freedom to be in a lobby, Fox is a difficult organization to work with. Whether it's canceling bookings for the Hannity show or kicking you out of their property...it's very difficult to have true freedom."

The actor is a staunch critic of both Fox News and Hannity. He referred to the network as a "fanatical terrorist propagandist organization" and said that Hannity, who he said covered the Israel-Gaza conflict "like a child", was like the Ken doll in "Toy Story 3".
