The Cleveland Cavaliers won their fifth preseason game of the National Basketball Association (NBA) against the Chicago Bulls 107-98 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio on Monday evening.
Point guard Derrick Rose was unstoppable during the first half of play as he led the Bulls in points while Chicago scored mostly in the paint and relied heavily on their center Anderson Varejao and small forward LeBron James to keep the match in their favor at 51-49.

Chicago was able to limit Rose in the third quarter as Kevin Love controlled the defensive board for the Cavs and Kyrie Irving had a shooting spree to extend Cleveland's lead by seven at the end of the quarter.
The fourth quarter was neck-and-neck as both teams exchanged baskets with power forward Taj Gibson scoring for Chicago while Irving continued making baskets outside the perimeter for Cleveland
All seems lost at about the four minute mark for Chicago as Matthew Dellavedova converted a three-point shot from a Love assist to give the Cavs a double digit lead but Doug McDermott answered with a three to put back the deficit to a single digit.
Cleveland's Tristan Thompson pulled down an offensive rebound after a miss from Irving and connected a 12-foot jumper but Paul Gasol converted another three-point shot for Chicago to close the gap with 1:42 left.
Both teams called timeout but all is lost at this point as Thompson made another basket followed by a Shawn Marion layup to finish the game.
Rose scored a game-high of 30 points while Irving led the Cavs with 28 points and seven assists.
Love contributed for the winning team with 13 rebounds and limiting Gasol to just 12 points for the Bulls.
Cleveland will meet Chicago again at the end of the month but this time the game will count as the regular season starts Oct. 28.
The Cavs will be travelling to Tennessee to play their last preseason game against the Memphis Grizzlies who also lost against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
