The TV content that the two networks will share, based on their Memorandum of Understanding, will include news, documentaries, dubbed entertainment shows, and educational programs that teach the Chinese language to TV audiences.

No less than Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif endorsed the media cooperation, according to PTV Managing Director Muhammad Malick.

For his part, CCTV vice president Zhu Tong was happy about the media exchange agreement between China and Pakistan.

The two countries have had a long history of strong relations, which are expected to grow even stronger when their citizens are regularly learning more about one another through media.

A global survey conducted by Pew Research has listed Pakistan as the country with the highest approval rating for China, with 81 percent of Pakistani respondents having a favorable view of China.

The survey, which polled 38 countries in 2013, showed Pakistan at the top of those countries that considered China as a friend instead of an enemy.

Pakistan's Ambassador to China, Masood Khalid, was elated over the gaining momentum of China-Pakistan relations in the media industry.
