Jameis Winston, sophomore quarterback to the red-hot Florida State University (FSU), is declaring for the National Football League draft following this season.

Winston, who has been instrumental for the current 22-0 streak of FSU, will be leaving school after this current season of college football.

According to a report by CBSSports.com, reporter Jason La Canfora said that Winston was feeling torn about whether to stay another year. However, after several incidents of the football this year, Winston has decided it is best to move on.

La Canfora said that there have been rumors circulation about Winston dropping out of school due to his pending student code of conduct hearing and allegations regarding his autographs being sold for money.

However, La Canfora feels that it is highly unlikely.

He says that while Winston's dropping out could be a way to avoid the institution's investigation into prior sexual assault charges brought against him and the autograph problem, he says that Winston intends to fight the cases to maintain his innocence.

For Winston though, this has to be a no-brainer.

There are too many off-field occurrences going on around him that staying at FSU for another year would have little to no athletic benefit for him, and may even serve to decrease his draft stock for the future.

Winston is in a great place athletically. All season long, he has been at peak performance.

Most recently, he led FSU to a come-from-behind win against Notre Dame last weekend.

The win was the biggest of the year for the Seminoles, as they have nothing but clear waters ahead toward an undefeated season and a College Football Playoff.
