Last October 19, sources have suggested that Lam has decided to sign a contract with EEG, the same company which held his record label for seven years before he entered TVB.
Furthermore, rumors circulated that he the actor has been in talks with the company's executives subsequent to his departure from TVB.
Based on Hong Kong media reports, Albert Yeung, the EEG chairman, personally came to meet Lam in order to convince him to the sign a contract with the company. The gesture made by Yeung is said to have moved the actor into signing with EEG again.
Additionally, it was reported that the 34-year old actor's first project under EEG would be the release of a full-length album. The comeback single that Lam will be promoting in the future is said to have been tailor-made for him by producers from the company.
Yue has also stated that Lam has collaborated with EEG for years now and now that he has decided to join the company again, the executive said that they will make sure to develop his career further.
Back when he was recording under the company, all of Lam's four concert tours had been a success under EEG.
Additionally, as opposed to the rumors that Lam's parents are against his decision to leave TVB, it has been reported that his father, Lam Kwok Wah, supports his decision for signing with EEG.
