Sister Cristina Scuccia, the 26-year-old, veiled champion of The Voice of Italy, is all set to make her debut as a singer.
The nun wowed the world with her powerful and shocking version of Alicia Keys' "No One" back in March. She also impressed audience and the judges after covering Cyndi Lauper and Mariah Carey among others at the competition.

And the singing nun has more surprises to unveil!
She has just released her first single: a slowed-down, laudable version of Madonna's "Like a Virgin." Then, there's the music video that highlights Venice's stunning view in black and white as her habit billows in the wind. But unlike Madonna's sexy version, the nun's has nothing of the pointy bras, lions or voguing, Masable reports.
While her Italian audience was quite surprise at her performance, she however, defended her choice. In an interview with Avvenire, she said: "Reading the text, without being influenced by previous interpretations, you discover that it is a song about the power of love to renew people [and] rescue them from their past."
Scuccia even looks forward to hearing Madonna's comment about her performance of the toned-down interpretation of the pop queen's 1984 hit song.
"I'd like to see her face when they tell her it's a nun singing," Scuccia said.
Scuccia's first album is set for release Nov. 11.
Cristina Scuccia was born in Comiso in 1988. She became a novice in 2009 when to Brazil where she served poor children for two years before she formally joined the Ursuline order.
