Taiwanese director Giddens Ke Jing Teng, who directed "You Are the Apple of My Eye," admitted he is having an affair with a Taiwan reporter.
Giddens held a media conference at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, directly admitting his affairs with the female reporter Zhou Ting Yu, who he has cooperated with for several times. Giddens confirmed that the woman who went to a motel with him was not his girlfriend little Nei, who he has been dating for 9 years, but Zhou.

Giddens admitted that he is not a good person in romance relations and stressed twice that he likes Zhou very much but said, "in terms of choice, the future will be my girlfriend." Giddens said that the best effort he could do for now is to apologize to his girlfriend. He has not yet received forgiveness from his girlfriend.
Photos of entering a motel with a beautiful woman circulated online recently. The pair reportedly spent two hours inside. Giddens kissed the woman when he sent her home. Fans thought the woman was his girlfriend but they were proven wrong afterwards.
The director did not respond to the questions about how long the affair has been going on, but admitted it was a mistake. He said he decide to hold the media conference "because this is the retribution of what I should bear."
Giddens said he would not want to publish details to the public and would not like to hurt more people but would tell his girlfriend everything and ask for forgiveness.
He stated that family life of marriage and with children is always what he wants to experience, "but I would not use this (marriage) to exchange (her) forgiveness," said Giddens. "I will honestly answer anything she asks," said the director.
