The duchess is now around 12 weeks pregnant.

The duchess was accompanied by Prince William.

This was the duchess' first formal role as part of a state visit.

She was at her best in the grey Alexander McQueen coat that she wore, accentuated by her Jane Taylor hat. A slight baby bump was already noticeable.

The royal couple joined Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in welcoming Singapore President Tony Tan and First Lady Mary Tan at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.

The presidential couple then proceeded to Horse Guards Parade for a ceremonial welcome.

The Duchess of Cambridge was forced to cancel her long list of engagements after she was diagnosed with, hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe case of morning sickness, including a visit to Oxford and a tour in Gibraltar.

The duchess was seen standing in the 20-minute ceremony on a pavilion on Horse Guards despite the gusty condition. She then joined Prince William in the state coach to Buckingham Palace.

Carriage rides in state coaches are known to be bumpy, but Kate seemed to manage well. The duchess was even eager to listen to her husband and Grace Fu, Singapore's second minister for foreign affairs, as they exchanged conversations while in the horse-drawn Scottish State Coach.

However, the duchess did not join the delegation at then private lunch in Buckingham Palace, a sign that she may not be fully back to full health.

The state visit was the first ever by a Singaporean president. The country is slated to celebrate the golden jubilee of their independence in 2015.
