"No zuo no die", one of the ten buzzwords on Sina Weibo in 2013, is now part of the Urban Dictionary, a popular online slang dictionary in the United States.
The dictionary collects streetwise expressions or English slangs which cannot be looked up in regular English dictionaries. It recently included in its collection the buzzwords "you can you up" and "no can no BB".

Chinese netizens have been frequently using "no zuo no die" on Weibo and were gladly surprised to find it in the Urban Dictionary.
"No zuo no die" was written into the Urban Dictionary on January 15 this year. It came with this definition: "This phrase is of Chinglish origin. Means if you don't do stupid things, they won't come back and bite you in the ass. (But if you do, they most certainly will.) Zuo /zwo/ is a Chinese character meaning 'act silly or daring (for attention)".
In the past four months, the popular buzzword received more than 2,400 likes.
Another Weibo buzzword, "You can you up", which means if you can do it then you should go up and do it, has received almost 3,000 likes within 8 days since it was included in the Urban Dictionary.
The Urban Dictionary also collected other "Chinglish" words and phrases such as "gelivable," "people mountain people sea", "long time no see" and "Shability" that people have used for many years.
Earlier, Chinglish were self-coined English words, or simply, translations that merge the words such as "people mountain people sea". Nowadays, Pinyin, the Chinese spelling, starts directly to "intrude into" English, for example, "zuo" and "tuhao" (local tyrant).
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) made a TV show in November 2013 specifically to introduce the Chinglish "tuhao" including its origin, meaning, and reasons why it is popular.
Other popular Chinglish such as "guanxi", "din sum" and "Maotai" are directly translated from Pinyin.
