Shanghai Disney Resort has begun its search for Chinese college graduates who will fill thousands of jobs in mainland China's first Disney resort that will open next year, resort officials said Friday.
Although the actual recruitment process will be conducted after June yet, Disney said it wants to promote the resort this early to prospective employees through the road show that will visit various colleges in Shanghai.

The road show will also go to other regions, including Anhui, Zhejiang and Henan, with Disney hoping to attract great talents into the resort that will open in Shanghai's Pudong District in late next year.
Among the thousands of jobs that will be available to college graduates are positions in management, marketing, merchandising, food and beverage, park operations and hotel operations, said Shanghai Disney Resort General Manager Mike Crawford.
Crawford said the resort has already employed 700 people for the development phases of the planned Disney resort but will need more employees when the resort opens next year.
Disney's entertainment team is also visiting performing arts in Shanghai colleges to lure talented performers to work in the Disney resort, which is known for its magical and exciting nightly performances.
Crawford said the Shanghai Disney Resort is expected to generate employment opportunities for Chinese college graduates in the coming years as the resort continues its development.
The Shanghai Disney Resort, which is a joint venture between the Shanghai Shendi Group and the Walt Disney Company, will have two theme hotels, a variety of recreation facilities, huge retail and dining spaces, and entertainment venue that will feature Chinese design elements.
The Disney resort is the second of its kind in China, with the first one setup in Hong Kong, and the first in the mainland.
As this developed, the Shendi Group of Shanghai said a 50,000-square-meter luxury shopping compound will be constructed next to the Shanghai Disney Resort, giving local and foreign tourists great shopping experience while enjoying the main resort.
The group has inked an agreement with retail outlet developer Value Retail for the construction of the shopping compound that will feature Asian and international brand stores. The shopping compound will also open in late 2015.
