In his speech, Wang promised the crowd that he will combat corruption like "treating sick trees" as he vowed to eliminate those he described as "rotten ones".

Wang also disclosed that the Communist Party of China (CPC) is battling a serious and complex situation in its goal to eliminate corruption from the country.

In addition, the inspector shared that the difficulty in completely eliminating problem lies on the challenge of getting rid of the root or primary source of these corrupt activities. Wang explained that only by properly eradicating the origin could they prevent the possibility of corruption to reappear in the future.

Moreover, Wang pointed out that there remain officials who reject the anti-corruption campaign and opt to go on with their transgressions. He claimed that some of these corrupt officials even intensified their wrongdoings.

Despite these challenges, however, Wang declared that the discipline inspection agencies will continue their commitment to catch such wayward officials, "staying clear-headed, having strong political anchoring, keeping faith and resolve".

"Any corrupt officials who go back to their old ways will pay the price," Wang announced.

"We will keep pressing the anti-graft campaign, treating sick trees and rooting up rotten ones," he added.

The anti-graft and corruption campaign is aimed at curtailing acts of corruption currently being committed by the officials, as well as clean out the origins of these dishonest activities. Wang also announced the group's intention to create and implement an effective and efficient system to not only eliminate corruption, but also devise a way of completely preventing it from reoccurring in the future.
