Sony announced its v2.00 PlayStation 4 update will be launched on Tuesday next week.
Sony named the update as Masamune. The major update was first reported back in August and gave vague details of the update with only a specific timeline -- "this fall."
This major update for PS4 will include Share Play and letting the console play music (MP3, MP4, M4A, and, 3GP) off of a USB drive while playing a game.

It also features YouTube sharing that allows players to upload saved videos directly to the popular video streaming site.
The Share Play lets a remote PS4 owner play games with them as if they were in the same room. It's a "virtual couch" allowing for "an online local co-op experience" that doesn't require other players to own the game in question.
PS4's Masamune will have a theme support that will allow customization, including tweaking the background color of the home. One of the themes featured in the update is Toro, the PlayStation cat.
Other small enhancements in the game are also featured like refining the home screen. The home screen will show the 15 most-used games and apps.
Players can now also add PlayStation Plus games to their accounts without initiating a download.
They can also see a new area in the What's New section -- "players you may know."
The major update will be available October 28.
