Scientists theorize that genetically engineered human beings could have Intelligence Quotients (IQs) of 1,000 or even higher.
This is a theory of scientist, Stephen Hsu.
Hsu is a renaissance scientist, dabbling in quantum physics, dark energy, finance, information security, and even gemonics or bioinformatics, which is the application of computer science and statistics to biological data.

It's Hsu's opinion that in tweaking human genomes, humans could reach new levels of intellect.
"The possibility of super-intelligence follows directly from the genetic basis of intelligence. Characteristics like height and cognitive ability are controlled by thousands of genes, each of small effect," Hsu said in his published report.
He goes on to say there are about 10,000 gene variants currently associated with intelligence. In tweaking each of these, making them turn out "smart," smarter individuals could be produced.
As the scientific advisor and founder of the Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI), rumors surfaced the previous year the institute is already in the process of sequencing the genomes of 2,000 of the world's smartest people.
The institute hopes it can carry out their desired program and engineer smart babies.
The belief genetics could hold the key to super intelligent individuals is not unique.
In fact Nick Bostrom, founding director of the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University, agrees that genetics is the key.
By using genetic screenings of embryos before an implantation, parents could find and select the embryos that possess activated allele for higher intelligence.
Bostrom continues by saying further advances in genetic technology could allow synthesizing genomes to specifications, obviating the need for a large pools of embryos.
Once this technology is perfected, an embryo could be assigned specific sets of attributes and genetic inputs from its parents, to create a child modified exactly to their liking.
