Rumors that Mainland Chinese actress Angelbaby has gone under the knife to alter her looks surfaced again after she participated in the Chinese edition of the hit Korean variety show, 'Running Man'.
Angelbaby has recently joined the cast of the Chinese version of 'Running Man' as a guest. While it is said to have boosted her popularity in China, her appearance at the show once again brought out a debate on whether the actress has gotten plastic surgery in the past.

Reports state that the rumors first came to light when photos of the actress when she was but an adolescent were published online. The old photos, which show a young Angelbaby wearing braces, had sparked the rumor that she has altered her looks through surgery as she looked very different then from how she looks like these days.
The actress has then repeatedly refuted the rumors and was backed by her management.
However, another plastic surgery rumor seems to be following the actress after her guest appearance in 'Running Man: Chinese Edition'. According to media reports, the new rumor is a result of the viewers' close analysis on the actress' on-screen appearance.
According to some, Angelbaby's chin appears to be 'unnaturally pointy', indirectly implying that her current appearance is a result of surgical alteration.
On the other hand, the rumors have angered the actress' supporters, accusing the viewers of being malicious and unjust, judging Angelbaby like that. Despite the reaction of her fans, the viewers who have initially stated that the actress has gone through plastic surgery still insisted on their opinion.
The difference in her fans' views and the that of the viewers has sparked a verbal war online since then.
In response to the rumors, Angelbaby's manager, who was also furious about the rumor, claiming that they have denied the rumors before and they remain firm on their claims.
"It is frustrating and there is really no need to respond to further allegations," says her manager. "However, if we come across any defamatory statements, we will be pursuing legal action. Please be careful about what you say."
