How do you feel when you learned that the British monarch has now joined the Twitter world? Fascinating, right?
Queen Elizabeth has sent her very first tweet with the signature "Elizabeth R" at the opening of a new exhibition at the Science Museum.

The 88-year-old monarch was leading the opening of a new gallery in central London's Science Museum on Friday.
The tweet read: 'It is a pleasure to open the Information Age exhibition today at the @ScienceMuseum and I hope people will enjoy visiting. Elizabeth R.'
Guests of the "Information Age" gallery opening include communications entrepreneurs and experts Baroness Lane Fox, founder of lastminute.com, and Sir Nigel Shadbolt, chairman of the Open Data Institute.
After several minutes of posting, the Queen's tweet gained 1,181 retweets and 725 favorites.
The British monarch Twitter account has 727,000 followers and the staff managing it post photographs and videos of the activities of the Royal Family.
The staff posted a follow up tweet saying: "The last tweet was sent personally by The Queen from her official Twitter account @BritishMonarchy #TheQueenTweets."
Another tweet was also posted with the same hashtag and an accompanying photo of the Queen composing her tweet.
The queen was also the first British monarch to send an email in 1976.
