Hong Kong actress Michelle Ye's manager has responded to the controversy sparked by the news that her dog mauled Mainland Chinese actress Li Yi Xiao, stating that the incident couldn't be perceived beforehand.
Previously, it has been reported that Li sustained more than 20 stitches on the head and left ear as a result of being attacked by Ye's dog at a birthday party they have both attended in Hengdian last September.

In response to the controversy brought about by the news, Ye's manager responded through a lengthy post on Weibo which explains the actress' side of the story.
In the post, her manager implied that the incident, which happened on September 22, couldn't have been perceived by the actress.
Ye's manager explained that the Alaskan dog which attacked Li was an abandoned stray that the actress recently adopted. According to the post, many of Ye's friend expressed their wish to see her new dog, so they all went to the actress' hotel where the dog was staying.
The manager then explained that the strong smell of alcohol which came from the guests caused discomfort to the dog which they've claimed had been sneezing and whimpering when the guests arrived.
Furthermore, Ye's manger explained that the dog's discomfort has been overlooked, resulting to its restlessness. Ye's management attributed the attack to the dog's discomfort.
After explaining the reason why the dog attacked Li, her manager also stated that Ye has been remorseful of what has happened and even asked her manager to visit Li at the hospital on her behalf. However, Ju Chunlei, whose wife is a good friend of Li, visited the actress instead as the manager was busy. Additionally, the actress offered to pay for the hospital bills.
The manager then continued to explain that Ju sent photos of the extent of Li's injuries to Ye's manager which were then forwarded to the actress, who was unfortunately not able to visit Li.
