Croatian teen Borna Coric upset second seeded Rafael Nadal and David Goffin came back to defeat Canadian star Milos Raonic at the quarterfinals of the Swiss Open in Basel on Friday.
The 17-year-old Coric surprised the Spaniard on the get go as the Croatian broke Nadal three times and held serve to go up 5-0. Nadal was able to break back and hold serve but the Croat eventually served out for the set.

Both players held on to their serves in the second set as they went on to a tie-break with Coric edging out the nine-time French Open champion 6-2 7(7)-6(4).
"It's unbelievable for me," said the young Croat after the win. "I just want to enjoy the moment. I'm just so surprised and it's an unbelievable feeling."
"I don't know how far he can go," said Nadal about the potential of the teenager. "He's a good guy, good player, young. It depends on how he's able to improve."
Nadal, who early this month revealed that he has appendicitis has called it quits for this season and would be undergoing surgery November 3.
"If I don't have a chance to win, I'm better to let my body try to recover... I accept [that] and I know [that] I have to be better for the beginning of 2015, and the only way to be better is to work on my health. Without health, you cannot work," said Nadal.
The World No. 3 will not participate in the last two tournaments of the year, the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris and the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London.
This means that there are four singles players still up for grabs at the eight-man short list.
Coric will now face seventh seeded Goffin in the semifinals who dropped the first set against Raonic and came back to win the match 6(3)-7(7) 6-3 6-4.
