China's most expensive car costs CNY 5 million and believe it or not, someone paid to get the luxury vehicle.
China FAW Group Corp has started receiving orders for the customized Red Flag L5 which is also the country's highest priced vehicle.
The company said in a statement during the Beijing auto show that the first car was sold to a Najing-based client.

The buyer, identified as Wang Zhonghua, said his newly purchased vehicle would be delivered after three months. Zhonghua is a furniture chain owner with businesses operating in furniture malls in the country.
FAW is the local partner of Volkswagen AG in the country. The car manufacturer is also the producer of Red Flag luxury cars that are used by Chinese officials.
FAW was then known as First Automotive Works. The company has been looking to capitalize on its campaign to acquire local brands in the country, reported Bloomberg.
An online auto pricing site posted that the price of the Red Flag L5 could be enough to buy a Ferrari FF in the country. In the United States, the most expensive vehicles were from auto makers including Rolls Royce and Ferrari.
The Red Flag L5 is China's version of international luxury car brand, comparable with that from Rolls-Royce Phantom and Bentley Mulsanne.
The car's interior is made with leather and wood with a powerful 6.0L V12 408 horsepower engine. The luxury vehicle has been offered to Chinese officials after a new movement directed from the Communist Party Leadership has caused them to get rid of their foreign manufactured vehicles.
In 2011, there were more than 7,905 multimillionaires in the country. The number shows that there is a big chance for the luxury vehicle to be acquired by China's wealthiest.
