It's one of the most grisly and sometimes utterly disgusting shows on television and "The Walking Dead" has reportedly caused people to lay off the meat and turn vegetarian.
Several members of the cast and crew were also affected by the grisly scenes on the show that they themselves have converted to being vegetarian.

One of them is Norman Reedus who plays Daryl Dixon; the actor openly said he is now vegetarian, but is kind of bummed about it.
"After watching walkers look as though they are really consuming human flesh or having to see them have their heads and other limbs cut off, no one was touching the meat over at craft services because the scenes put everyone off," Reedus was quoted as saying.
A source also says that having hundreds of extras walking around on set with their make up and prosthetics on is enough to put someone off from eating meat
It's been reported that since most of the cast & crew put off meat, 80 percent of the food being served on the set is now meat-free. Some of the on-set meals include Mushroom risotto, Mexican Enchiladas, Spinach and avocado salad with garlic mustard vinaigrette.
The show's second episode will show Rick and his company headed to Washington, DC. The official synopsis for the upcoming episode says "Rick leads a mission wherein the risk might be higher than the reward all because of supplies running low and not knowing who to trust in the circle."
