Sun Liang, the fattest and heaviest man in China, has died of heart and lung complications at the age of 22, the Qilu Evening News reported.
Weighing 300 kilograms, Sun was hospitalized on April 9th due to fluid accumulation in his lungs. His heart rate, however, dropped dramatically on Sunday while he was asleep, doctors said.

He was rushed to the emergency room but died an hour later apparently due to cardiac arrest.
Sun was 6.5 kilograms at birth and had comprehension problems, forcing him to drop out of school at the age of eight.
"He was just eating and sleeping and then eating again all his life," said Sun's cousin.
At the age of 19, Sun weighed around 150 kilograms, but his uncontrollable eating habits further increased his weight to 200 kilograms within three years.
"When he was 22, he got so big that he barely was able to walk," the cousin said.
Aside from his uncontrolled food intake, Sun was also suffering from a form of genetic obesity, which resulted in his weight gain.
Sun became popular in China when news about his weight was published in local newspapers.
Dubbed as the fattest man in China, Sun's photos were circulated on the net, with people calling him cute and cuddly while others blamed his habits for his weight gain.
When news about Sun's confinement in the hospital was reported in the media, netizens immediately responded by donating cash. One fan from Shanghai even donated around US $4,800 for Sun's medical needs.
"His weight ended his life because doctors said the excessive weight put so much pressure on his heart," said Sun's cousin.
