Marcia Strassman Dead: 66-Year-Old Dies of Breast Cancer, Mourned By Stars

Marcia Strassman died at the age of 66 on Oct. 25 after a long, 7-year battle with breast cancer, reported Deadline. Marcia Strassman was at her Sherman Oaks, Calif. home at the time of her death.

Julie Strassman, her sister, confirmed news of Marcia Strassman's death to the publication Sunday.

"She was the funniest, smartest person I ever met, and talented," Julie recalled. "She knew everything. Now I won't be able to call her and ask her questions."

The death was first reported by Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, while Julie confirmed Marcia Strassman's death to Deadline, reports USA Today.

When news spread, many reacted and expressed their grief and paid their respect and condolences via Twitter.

Bob Weide, a friend of the actress' who is also a producer and director, first broke the news of Marcia Strassman's death on the social media site.

Celebrities like Cher, Dana Delany and Marg Helgenberger were amongst the stars that tweeted their condolences.
