Hong Kong actor Bowie Lam was recently reported to have been spotted spending quality time with an unidentified 25-year old male who is speculated to be his new boyfriend.

According to gossip reports, Lam has a new boyfriend. Last month, the actor is said to have been seen secretly visiting the parents of a male friend whom the paparazzi had speculated to be his new beau.

Based in media outlets, when he realized that he had been followed by reporters, he became angry and lashed out at them, telling them to stop taking photos. After said incident, the actor was spotted with the same male, shopping for shoes at Sham Sui Po in Hong Kong.

However, despite enjoying the time he spent with his friend, Lam is said to have left the store in a wary state, cutting their shopping trip short after spotting media personnel following them.

According to insider reports, the 49-year old actor met his new male friend the previous year. Since then, the two have gotten closer.

The same source explained that Lam, at his age, does not want to go to clubs and rarely goes out to drink. The actor is said to be spending time sleeping early and waking up early as well to catch up with friends in Hong Kong whenever he doesn't have work to do.

It was during that time when Lam allegedly met his male friend through a common friend. Since the two shared a common interest in hiking, they've gotten closer over time.

In the past, Lam has been romantically linked to two other males, including his assistant, Daniel, back in 2000. According to reports then, the actor has been seen spending a lot of time with his assistant at his house.

In 2007, Lam was again linked to Mr. Hong Kong contestant Byron Kung after he was seen mourning at the funeral of the actor's mother.

On the other hand, although Lam never directly admitted anything about his sexual orientation, he has openly supported gay rights.
