House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy spoke in front of a Los Angeles crowd, including Long Island donors and said people will not see a Republican president by 2016 if Americans are not prepared to make radical changes.
McCarthy is campaigning for Republicans who are toe-to-toe with the Democrats in the midterm elections to determine U.S. Senate control.

McCarthy, the number two Republican in the House this summer, also spoke about his platform on how Republicans could gain control of Capitol Hill. He said House and Senate Republicans must exhibit unity and work together in preparation for the Presidential race in 2016.
"My belief is you have one chance to make a first impression. From the very first day after the election, we should be laying out to the American public what the expectations are. Why make two different agendas?" McCarthy said.
He added that he wants to pass a long-term government-funding bill, renewing a host of failed tax provisions focused on business and renewing the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act.
McCarthy also said that if Republicans get House and Senate control, they will be able to take a "cliff" holds them back from doing bigger policies in the Capitol Hill.
He is also eager to pass bills on health care, energy and taxes. McCarthy believes that these bills will be different from what U.S. President Barack Obama is doing right now and will eventually split the Democrats.
He noted that Obama might sign some bills, but if he does not, Republicans will have an advantage in the 2016 presidential elections. He pressed that he will be prioritizing bills that were ignored by the Democrats such as energy policy and highway spending.
McCarthy also believes that people are frustrated with how the Obama regime is handling the Ebola outbreak, the health care law, the Secret Service scandals, and the different wars in different countries. He pressed they will be banking on this to counter the Democrats.
Critics have weighed in the thoughts of the Republicans as they pressed that they should also be able to touch on immigration reform to win over the vote of the people.
