Tension appears to be brewing between Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Princess Beatrice.
Rumors circulated by those close to the royal circle reveal that Princess Beatrice, who is sixth in line to the British throne, resents the fact that the worldwide popularity of Prince William's wife has "overshadowed" her.

Princess Beatrice is the elder daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, second son of Queen Elizabeth II. She has a younger sister, Princess Eugenie. Her mother is Sarah, Duchess of York, who, for many years, has been estranged from the royal family but has recently rekindled her links with the House of Windsor.
Express' Adam Helliker revealed that even Australian magazine Woman's Day has noted the frosty relationship between the cousins-in-law.
Woman's Day wrote:
"While Kate has been winning hearts around the world, Beatrice and her sister Eugenie have been relegated to attending garden parties and cutting ribbons".
Twenty-six-year-old Beatrice was heard complaining to friends over the special treatment that Kate receives, calling her the "Chosen One" because she "gets the glamour jobs, the clothing allowance, the limos and the bodyguards, while I have to travel economy," she was heard saying.
Furthermore, Beatrice has reportedy been making open, frank remarks about Kate and her sister Pippa, whom she called "vacuous" and "pushy."
She even allegedly remarked that Kate is "a commoner," harshly commenting on Kate's determination to stay slim.
Beatrice, who is now working as an intern at Sony Pictures in London, was planning to announce her engagement to Dave Clark, her boyfriend of seven years, but her plans were derailed because the Duchess "hogged the limelight again" when she announced her second pregnancy.
