The singer was on Good Morning America to promote her 1989, which debuted Sunday night.
"Without a doubt, this is the best thing I've done," she said.
But it seems that Taylor isn't the only who feels good about her album. Critics were also positive about her latest release.
Robin Roberts noted that "the reviews have been incredible" for 1989.
"That was so cool," Swift replied.
"Hearing that is so insane... to have people able to finally have [1989] now and have the fans understand what I've been working on for two years. It's the most amazing feeling; it's electric."
But the star wasn't just there to invite fans to get their copy; she was also there to talk about what her songs really have to say. The country singer turned pop star emphasized the importance of being true and honest with oneself while never being afraid to try new things.
"You have to stay true to who you are, and at the same time challenge who you are to explore all the different aspects of what you can create," she said.
"I could have made Red twice," she added (referring to her past album), "But instead I decided to go in a completely different direction, and I'm truly happy I did."
