Wal-Mart costumers are 'disappointed and flabbergasted' at the retail company's most recent online blunder on Monday, which mainly revolved around its selection of adult plus-size Halloween outfits labeled as "Fat Girl Costumes."
Consumers took to the social media to express their outcry when Wal-Mart categorized their Halloween costumes for plus-sized women in one section and labeled it in the most offensive manner possible.

"Not sure labeling these as 'Fat Girl Costumes' is the best approach," Krystyn Washburn tweeted to the retail company and hashtagged the post as #rude after noticing the section on Oct. 21.
Many others expressed on Twitter their disbelief at the gaffe, making it a trending topic on the social networking site with some saying that they are 'disappointed and flabbergasted' at how the company sought attention for their 20-page garment selection.
A few hours after receiving Washburn's tweet, a response Tweet from the Wal-Mart account replied with a seemingly automated response indicating that comments and suggestions from costumers are "important" to the company to "make Wal-Mart even better."
After this, the label for the plus-size section has been changed. However, the label was returned to the same offensive section title six days later.
This ignited more rage from the social media with losergurl.com blogger Joslyn Gray pointing out that Wal-Mart's faux pas is neither a trick nor a treat and is a downright 'insult' to people with slightly larger frames than what is socially accepted.
Others agreed echoing that it is no better that being called a 'skinny girl' or being deemed 'too thin.'
As Monday business hours nearly came to an end, Wal-Mart then released a statement of apology after changing the subheading to "Women's Plus Size Halloween Costumes."
"We are working to remove it as soon as possible and ensure this never happens again. This never should have been on our site. It is unacceptable, and we apologize," the retail giant wrote.
