"Mama June" Shannon has been making headlines for days for reportedly getting back together with her ex who is a convicted sex offender, and because of this, reports say she may lose custody of her kids.

The man who is allegedly with Shannon now was identified as Mark McDaniel who reportedly was sent to jail and had to serve ten years because he touched one of the daughters of Shannon named Anna who was also part of the now defunct TLC Show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo".

A photo was first released by TMZ showing Alana "Honey Boo Boo" with her mother and McDaniel as the child sex offender touched the 9-year-old girl by her arm. This has then sparked outrage among fans of the show and people in general as Shannon is putting her daughters in such a dangerous situation.

Due this reports have surfaced that the Georgia officials are looking into the situation as they are investigating what they could possibly due about the situation. Reports say that Shannon might lose custody over her children.

A spokeswoman for the Division of Family and Children Services in the area, Susan Boatwright, declined to comment on the issue. However, she did say that the department would be taking the situation of Shannon and her family very seriously once they are notified that a child is always in the same area as the convicted sex offender is. She said: "When (the Division of Family and Children Services) gets a report that indicates a child is living around someone who is a sex offender or who may have been guilty of child molestation, we would take that very seriously and go out and investigate and look at the parent's protective capacity."

McDaniel just got out of prison last March and it was reported that Shannon split with Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson because of him. Thompson, Alana's father, said that he was disappointed over Shannon letting her daughter get close to McDaniel. He also claimed that Shannon was seeing both Thompson and McDaniel despite her claims that Thompson was the one cheating.
